Shire of Narembeen - Amendment Local Laws

Pursuant to Section 3.12(3) of the Local Government Act 1995, notice is hereby given that the Shire intends to make two amendment local laws for the Shire of Narembeen being:-

Cemeteries Amendment Local Law 2021

The purpose of the Cemeteries Amendment Local Law 2021 is:-

  • To amend the principal local law to ensure that its provisions are within the powers provided to the Shire of Narembeen under the enabling legislation.

The effect of this local law is:-

  • To ensure that the Shire of Narembeen can effectively enforce compliance by all persons engaged in the administration of the cemetery, burying deceased in the cemetery, or otherwise providing services to or making use of the cemetery.

Fencing Amendment Local Law 2021

The purpose of this local law is:-

  • To amend the principal local law to ensure that its provisions are within the powers provided to the Shire of Narembeen under the enabling legislation.

The effect of this local law is:-

  • To ensure that the Shire of Narembeen can effectively enforce the established minimum requirements for fencing within the district.
