Community Resource Centre Coordinator

12-Month Contract (Maternity Leave Cover)

Are you ready to make a meaningful impact in your community? The Narembeen Community Resource Centre (CRC) is looking for an enthusiastic Coordinator to lead our resource hub, connecting residents with essential services, events, and support. This position offers a flexible work-life balance with options to work between 60–76 hours per fortnight, including school-friendly hours if needed.

Starting in February 2025, this twelve-month maternity cover role offers the potential for an extension or a job-share arrangement. As CRC Coordinator, you will ensure that the community has access to education, events, information, and training. You will also oversee the centre’s day-to-day operations, support our fantastic team, and ensure compliance with contractual requirements.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Empower and Support - Provide access to government and community information and services.
  • Lead and Manage - Oversee daily operations, team management, events, grant acquittals, and reporting.
  • Engage and Innovate - Deliver relevant services in education, business, and communication to enrich our community.

Cleaner

The Shire of Narembeen is seeking a casual or (preferred) part-time cleaner for approximately 30 hours a week, or 0.8FTE, to help service the Shire’s commercial facilities and public buildings. Our cleaners provide a vital service by ensuring that the physical representation of the Shire’s operations are kept in as good a condition as possible, mirroring the strong spirit of the Narembeen community.

The ideal applicant will be well presented, self-motivated, energetic and keen to use their initiative to manage and plan their workload to ensure the achievement of outcomes. Attention to detail and enthusiasm will be extremely well regarded. The position offers a large degree of flexibility and autonomy to the successful applicant, with the ability to set your own hours and manage your own day-to-day workflow, within established parameters and guidelines

Starting as soon as possible, the position offers the successful applicants an above-award wage, Shire-owned accommodation (pending availability) and matching of additional superannuation contributions, up to 5%.

Caravan Park Caretaker

The Shire of Narembeen is seeking a full-time caravan park caretaker to operate and service the Narembeen caravan park. The caravan park caretaker is the primary point of contact that the Shire of Narembeen has with most visitors and are responsible for upholding the highly rated reputation of the site.

The position offers a degree of flexibility in hours worked and allows the successful applicant to be highly social with visitors, offering the opportunity to meet and connect with people from all walks of life.

Starting as soon as possible, the position offers the successful applicant an above-award wage, Shire-owned accommodation and matching of additional superannuation contributions, up to 5%.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Promote and Facilitate - Know and promote the local area to visitors.
  • Manage and Maintain - Responsible for overseeing most aspect of the Shire’s caravan park and upholding the high standard of customer service offered.
